China: Handicapped girl pursues her literature dream with chopstick

1 min read

A handicapped girl in a mountain village of central China’s Henan Province has been pursuing her dream of being a writer using a chopstick to type.

Wang Lifei, 25, suffered from ankylosing spondylitis (an inflammatory disease which can cause the spinal column to fuse together) in her childhood, and had an operation on her lymph-nodes when she was 3 years old, but the disease spread to her knees at the age of 7. As she was burnt when she was 11 years old, Wang suffered from rheumatism. With the aggravation of Wang’s illness, she lost her ability to walk and became incapacitated.
