Nalin Verma shares a poignant story that depicts the beauty of human relationships, capturing the bonds we share throughout our lives and their impact.

Bishun was an old man. He cherished his walking stick as his most prized possession.

He couldn’t see clearly. Over the years, everything became fuzzy to him, as if he were constantly looking through a foggy window. His eyes could barely distinguish individuals, unable to recognize gender, age or familiar faces. Instead, he only saw vague apparitions of people. The thick, constant fog that surrounded him made Bishun sad. He grasped the cane with an arched handle to stand up and walk; this served as a replacement for his poor eyesight.
