Since 2005, Kitaab has been serving the global community of readers, writers, publishers, distributors and agents with the mission of connecting Asian writers with readers across the world and giving new voices an opportunity to express themselves on a credible platform.
Our publishing programme has been free from commercial bias. Through a group of voluntary and paid editors and contributors, we have been giving a voice to those less heard. That’s why we have kept our platform free and open to anyone who visits us.
We have been running Kitaab free of charge since our inception, and for a long time resisted the urge to put our content behind a paywall! We believe that literature builds bridges, opens our hearts to others and widens our mental and emotional horizons. But given the challenges associated with running a website and a literary publishing organisation, we need your solid support.
With your support, we can serve you better and improve our offerings to you. Our subscription charges are very affordable and if you can sacrifice one or two cups of coffee a year (depending on the type of coffee or beverage you drink), you will be able to support us!

You can use Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express Credit or Debit cards that have a registered billing address to make PayPal payments. You can check out even as a guest with just your email id (you don’t have to create a PayPal account) and credit card details. It’s pretty safe and easy to use! With this option, your annual subscription will renew automatically after completing one year, and you can cancel it anytime if you wish.
