Jeena R. Papaadi tells a powerful story about dealing with the loss of a loved one, living with grief, and adapting to life after their death.

Sunday ambiance streamed in through the open windows.

She sat at her desk, pen in hand, fresh set of paper stacked out on the writing pad, eyes focused on eternity, feeling rather foolish to be writing a letter that she would not post, to a person who existed but in her memories, about a promise made years ago.

They say you’re gone forever.

Forever. Is there such a thing or place? Today I know there isn’t. You are just out of sight, out of earshot. I feel your thoughts, your questions, your concerns, just as I used to before we admitted our love for each other. You’re out there, missing me, longing to be near, just as I am.
