Sarah Maguire Prize for Poetry in Translation 2022, hosted by the Poetry Translation Centre, is now open for submissions for collections first published in English between 1st January 2020 and 31st December 2021. 

About the Sarah Maguire Prize for Poetry

The Sarah Maguire Prize was launched in 2020 by the Poetry Translation Centre in memory of the Centre’s founder, Sarah Maguire. The Prize celebrates and showcases the very best contemporary poetry from around the world and champions the art of translation. 

Winning poets and translators will receive a prize of £3,000.

How to submit?

The Prize is free and easy to enter. Please fill in this application form to submit any eligible titles published from 1st January 2020 – 31st December 2021.

For initial entries, you need to submit the entry form and a PDF copy of the book

Deadline: Submissions close 30th November 2021
