Kitaab authors Neil Daswani and Anita Thomas get featured at the Jaipur Literary Festival (JLF) in Colorado with their work, Camera & Quill

Tonight (October 10) at the Jaipur Literary Festival (JLF) in Colorado, Camera & Quill, a collaborative work of photography and poetry by Anita Thomas (artist) and Neil Daswani (poet) will be showcased at 10:50 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. (MT)/10:20 PM-10:30 PM IST.

For our SIngapore based viewers the corresponding time will be 12:50 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Monday October the 11th.

This session follows on from their recent successes in February 2021 at the flagship JLF event in Jaipur, where Camera & Quill as well as Neil Daswani’s debut collection of poetry, Why Now? were chosen to feature in the ‘Writer’s Shorts’ section of the Festival.

Kitaab is proud of both Anita and Neil who have published quite regularly with Kitaab over the past few years. Neil Daswani has had a prolific debut year in 2020, publishing three volumes of poetry: Seen & Felt, Redshift and Why Now?

Anita Thomas is an author in her own right. Her book Senserly Amako was published in 2018.

Their partnership for Camera & Quill evolved through ekphrastic poems written in response to photo prompts. The images triggered emotional responses; poetry that explored symbolic meaning and imagined stories.

Further details can be found in Kitaab’s previous story on JLF Jaipur 2021 published on the Kitaab website.
