Present

 “Who is this girl, Dada?” asked a five-year-old boy looking keenly towards the portrait hung over the fireplace. 

“No one in particular, someone I met for a few minutes during my journalism days” replied a nonchalant grandfather. Straightening his spectacles, he concentrated on the newspaper in hand. 

The kid was not yet ready to give up. 

“Why is this photo here then?”
