It was a quiet winter night. A cool breeze from the Black Sea was singing a lullaby to the Acer Campestre trees (1) in a village called Abaci. The village is situated in the district of Göynücek, Amasya province, Turkey, right beyond the rocky coastal region.
An impeccable crescent was shining down the village from the bosom of a dark sky. A stream of river, slithering through Abaci, was pouring down the Black Sea where they embraced each other like passionate lovers. Most of the regional creatures had retired to their cosy abodes. Only the chirping of crickets and croaking of frogs can be heard from time to time.
While the tranquil night was growing darker, the candles in a small hut were still burning.
