May, that was her name. Just a young, naive thirteen-year-old girl, who was too pure-hearted for her own good; her existence was a cause of pleasure for all those who adored her. Brightening up the days of all those who met her, she was the May of everyone whom she chose to love: their prime, their May. 

As fate would have it, all the crucial events of her life occurred in the month of May each year — the first award she had ever received, the first time she had menstruated (oh, God, that was one eventful day), the first dog, Oreo, she brought home… the list was endless. 

And in the course of her thirteenth May, she happened to encounter Emma.
