Writer and photographer Sohini Sen is in conversation with Lalitha Sarma R where she shares insights on translating Tagore from content to craft.

Sohini Sen is a litterateur who boldly transcends the shadow lines of genres. Her journey has encompassed two remarkable careers, first as an Assistant Editor with The Telegraph newspaper and later as a Senior Manager and the Head of Tata Consultancy Services Ltd’s Technical Communication team in Kolkata.

Having transitioned into a full-time writer and photographer, Sen has authored several compelling works, including The Talking Table and Other Stories (2012), Yatra Pathe Rabi (2014), Ladakh: A Photo Travelogue (2016), Zanskar to Ziro: No Stilettos in the Himalayas (2017), and the collaborative photo-book Invincible City (2023). Her debut novella, A Sense of Magnolias, is soon to be published.
