Ahbab Ahmed Choudhury captures a day in the life of family dealing with the day to day chaos in life around banal yet important things showing us how differently our hearts and minds respond.

My mother and father were having a routine health check-up and I was waiting for them to get out. One of my overseas colleagues pings me and lets me know that the issue that we were facing today has been resolved. The cause will be shared shortly. I let out an audible sigh which drew the receptionist’s attention. 

Sitting by my lonesome in the hospital, I begin reading the advisories on the walls. The small white lettering feels familiar, and I slip back in time.

It was late in the morning. The only fresh thing on my body was the new set of earphones that had arrived yesterday. Words flashed in front of me as I scrolled down kilometre-long log files, hoping to find what was causing the exception.
