The BBC reports that Ashraf Fayadh, a writer and curator who was born in Saudi Arabia to refugee Palestinian parents, who has been charged with “promoting atheism and spreading blasphemous ideas” and sentenced to death by the Saudi government, was the subject of a series of international readings organized by the International Literature Festival Berlin yesterday.
