Kitaab announces Shabana Zahoor Memorial Scholarship for underprivileged and needy female students

We recently lost a wonderful team member at Kitaab. Madam Shabana Zahoor, the co-founder and director of Kitaab and the beloved wife of Kitaab’s founder, Zafar Anjum, passed away in late June after battling a prolonged illness.

The late Mdm Zahoor was a great pillar of support for Kitaab and was deeply involved in developing Kitaab’s publishing business, especially the children’s publications imprint, Kitaab Junior.

In her memory, Kitaab announces the Shabana Zahoor Memorial Scholarship for meritorious female students from underprivileged backgrounds. More details on this will be shared in the next Update from Kitaab.

Other announcements

In light of this unfortunate event, we want to inform you that there will be a temporary delay in our regular updates and communication including Kitaab Quarterly and TBASS 2023.

During this period of adjustment, we kindly ask for your understanding and patience. We recognize the importance of keeping you informed about our latest developments, and we assure you that as soon as we are able, we will resume working on these.

Thank you for being a part of the Kitaab community. Together, we will navigate through this challenging time and emerge stronger than ever.
