In this short story, Tapti Bose captures a beautiful journey of an artist, displaying what all it takes to become an artist and how life goes through its own share of ups and downs.

It was an art commission that got me to the beaches of the Bay of Bengal. My client, a rich lady whose husband was a successful movie financier, wanted a series of seascapes for her seafood-themed restaurant. And so, it was their beach house that would be my studio for some time. Even though there were infinite ways that an artist could paint the sea, my client insisted that I paint in the realist tradition, giving me a set of her photographs taken on her iPhone.
