Call for Submissions-Moore Prize for Human Rights Writing 2024

The 2024 Moore Prize for Human Rights Writing is now open for submissions.
Submissions will be open from 5 March to 12 April 2024. The 2024 judging panel is still to be finalized but will be announced soon.
The criteria for submission to the prize are:
1. Books must be first published between 1 July 2023 and 30 June 2024.
2. It is an international award open to authors worldwide.
3. It is a prize for non-fiction, written in or translated into English.
4. Works should contribute to the understanding and universality of human rights, promote human rights, and/or bring attention to human rights abuses/violations or solutions. They should be about current or very recent human rights issues.
5. Submission is free.
6. Because the Prize judges are located internationally, books should be submitted in electronic form.
7. The winner of the Prize will receive £1000. The winner will be announced on 8 January 2025, with the longlist announced on 12 June and the shortlist on 13 November 2024.
We do not accept:
1. Books written about historic human rights issues.
2. Anthologies, collections of essays or poetry, academic books
Submissions must be received no later than 12 April 2024.
