In this short story, Vidya Gunavanthe narrates how a conversation can actually lead to all the solutions in the world.

Taruna woke up early in the morning, kept the milk to boil, and made her husband a cup of masala tea. She took out the dosa atta from the fridge to make dosas for her grandson later before he left for his play school. She donned her socks and walking shoes and left for her morning walk.

“Catch an hour’s sunlight daily,” her orthopedic had said after scanning her Dexa report, which diagnosed her ailment as osteopenia, which was a milder version of osteoporosis, she was told. So, she walked towards the municipal garden near her apartment building. But sunlight eluded the garden as it was thick with wooded trees and dense shrubs. She could hardly ‘catch’ any sunlight that had been prescribed to her.
