“I cannot believe that you are actually going to Prague. How can you do this to our son?”
“Why not Vastav? Didn’t you also go on your work trips, college reunions, and boys trips so many times?”
“C’mon Swapna, that is different. Most of them were short trips and unavoidable.”
“So is this. It’s been my dream to do a Masters in Design since decades.”
“That might have been a dream earlier. But you are a mother now. Don’t you have a sense of responsibility?”
“If I am a mother, what happened to you being a father? You have done negligible parenting till now. I have literally raised our son as a single parent. Mrs. Raut, next door, has been a better support for me than you. It’s time you caught up.”
