Giovanna Puthumana shares a powerful story mixing suspense, thrill, magic, and fantasy to create an unforgettable read.
I could sometimes move objects with no contact. Actually, it’s whenever I like. Slight changes that won’t send the police after me. Put out a lightbulb here, make a book fall down there. I never did floating. I wouldn’t, people would know. I manage to keep a stoic face every time. My poker face is good, too good to the point where they’d suspect me the least. It’s usually to relieve pain. You’re a nobody, I’m told. You reek of poison, and You’ll never amount to anything.
People value kindness to the point of having a Nobel Prize for it. I couldn’t help the people I hate. I hate not just my coworkers that taunt me with their insults about my laziness, but every person as well. I see a smile on a face, I’m sure to put pressure on the folds along the corners of their lips and they stop smiling. I do it as many times as I have to, to keep them from smiling.
