Namrata will be hosting a workshop at the Story Company India in August.
Writing a book is only half the journey. Publishing it is an entirely different skill.
If you have completed a manuscript, are working on one, or simply want to understand how the publishing ecosystem works, this workshop is designed to give you practical, industry-focused guidance.
The Publishing Roadmap: A Practical Workshop for Aspiring Authors is a 90-minute interactive session led by Namrata, founder of Keemiya Creatives and Bookbots India and editor of Kitaab. Drawing from her experience as an editor, consultant, reviewer and author, she will take participants through the realities of today’s publishing landscape.
The workshop covers:
• Understanding different publishing routes
• Preparing your manuscript for submission
• What publishers expect in a submission package
• Common mistakes first-time authors make
• Author branding and book marketing
• Navigating rejection and building a sustainable writing career
Participants will also receive a Publishing Checklist, a Submission Package Template, and a curated Publishing Resource Guide.
