Who can write a sci-fi come romance come real life drama novel set in the past with a futuristic tone and still manage to make you cry? Kazuo Ishiguro can. Not only has he been named one of ‘The 50 greatest British writers since 1945’ within The Times but with an OBE and Man Booker Prize to his name, it’s safe to say he knows how to please an audience.

As a Japanese-born British novelist, Ishiguro has novels spanning both Asia and English culture, crossing many genres, time periods and places, creating a repertoire of literature which can suit anyone’s tastes.
