Literary News: Online Launch of TBASS- 2021 Anthology

The Best of Asian Short Stories – 2021 (Kitaab 2021) edited by Malachi Edwin Vethamani was launched online on December 19th, 2021.

The Best of Asian Short Stories – 2021 was launched online yesterday.

The launch was attended by all the contributing authors including Parvathi Nayar, Kiran Bhat, Christina Yin, Cyril Wong, Bela Negi, Sudeep Sen, Ivy Ngeow, Namrata Singh, Susheela Menon, Bhaswati Ghosh, Jose Varghese among others.

Series Editor, Founder, and Editor-in-Chief of Kitaab, Zafar Anjum started the session by telling us a bit about how it was conceived and how the series has grown till now. The editor of the collection Edwin Vethamani spoke briefly about the stories before inviting all the contributing authors to read from their stories.

The launch was well attended by friends and family of the authors. Fiction Editor of Kitaab, Dr. Pallavi Narayan, and Editor of Kitaab, Namrata were also present at the book launch.

Namrata is a published author who enjoys writing stories and think pieces on travel, relationships, and gender. She is a UEA alumnus and has studied travel writing at the University of Sydney.

She is also an independent editor and a book reviewer.
