Team Kitaab is in conversation with Pakistani author Mehr F Husain as a part of the South Asian Women Writers Feature.

Today, we are featuring Pakistani author, editor and publisher, Mehr F Husain. Mehr is a media consultant based in Lahore. She has been working in the media for 15 years in various capacities including Features Editor at The Friday Times and columnist for India Today and MailOnline. She is the sole editor of ‘Multan A Spiritual Legacy’ and author of ‘Pakistan: A Fashionable History’, both original bodies of work and the first of their kind.
Mehr is the founder of ZUKA Books, cultural resistance in the form of the written word, and a UN-affiliated publishing platform. In 2021 ZUKA Books was a shortlisted nominee for a UN Women Asia Pacific Award. Her books have been part of national campaigns and advocate for freedom of expression. She runs ZUKA Accessories, a social enterprise that advocates for sustainability and female empowerment, also affiliated with the UN.
