Rhododendrons is the debut novella of Sreetanwi Chakraborty an academic and creative writer based in Kolkata. She is also the Chief Editor of a bilingual biannual academic journal Litinfinite. In the blurb of the book Prabal Kumar Basu writes, “Rhododendrons centres around Sreenandini, who passes through various modern-day urban complexities in a non-conventional way still never losing her creative passion. A storyline one would love to read and at the same time feel it could be his or her own”. The novel captures the myriad moods and splendour of life and nature. The beautiful Rhododendrons add a dash of colour to nature’s enigma similarly the book adds colour and variety —in relationships and storyline, locales and spaces it’s all about the variety that Rhododendron speaks about.
