In this short story, Mahim Hussain captures the struggle of a journalist to unearth the truth and the constant battle between them and the corrupt politicians of the country.

It is a Sunday evening in July. After a day-long toil at his office, Sadek gets back home around eight p.m. The forty-year-old works in a major pharmaceutical company as a sales officer. His office is situated in the neighborhood called Motijheel. It is the downtown and also the business center of Dhaka city. To avoid the dreadful traffic jams and get to his office on time, he lives in a small apartment in Shantinagar, adjacent to the Motijheel area. Most of the apartments in Shantinagar are beyond the reach of people with a mediocre income. Nevertheless, he rents this place breaking his fixed deposits because it is closer to his office.
