In this story, Nagma Sinha weaves a tender story reflecting upon the bond we share with people outside the blood relations.

The day was nearing dusk, and the cool breeze of the Arabian Sea was blowing towards the shore. Leena pushed her right palm deep inside the coarse sand and collected the granules in her fist to sprinkle it back on the surface. The granules flew in different directions influenced by the sea breeze.

There was a couple walking along the shore hand in hand with smiles on their faces.

Looking at them, Leena’s thoughts ran to an episode that occurred a decade ago when Rishabh had visited her home along with his parents to decide on the marriage alliance with her. It was only known after making inquiries over the next one week that Rishabh rejected Leena.
