      Gopal Lahiri is a bilingual poet, critic, editor, writer, and translator with 31 published books, including eight solo or jointly edited volumes. He received the first-ever Jayanta Mahapatra Award in 2024 for his significant contribution to Indian English Literature. His poetry collection, Alleys are filled with Future Alphabets, earned the Pan Asian Ukiyoto Award. Recently, his poems were included in the Penguin Book of Poems on Indian Cities. Selected Poems, published by Classix (an Imprint of Hawakal), is his recent offering to his readers.
