Twentyfive years after his award- winning classic, “Shadow Lines” was published, author Amitav Ghosh is celebrating with a special collectors’ edition of the novel.
Printed on special, high-quality paper, with a ribbon bookmark and a slip cover, a limited edition of the book, first brought out in 1988 would be republished by Penguin India on September 13.
“Amitava wanted to do something special to mark the occasion. So we decided to republish it with special paper, a special flipcase cover and ribbon bow,” a spokesperson from the publishing house said today.
In a post on his website, Ghosh said, “I will sign every copy and add a personalised note.”
