India: The pats with the brick bats


The Lucknow Literature Carnival, which concluded on Sunday, left some asking for more, while others went back with a smile on their faces having met celebrities like writer Shobhaa De, actor Jayant Kriplani and former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. Young novelists Durjoy Dutta, Meghna Pant and Ravinder Singh along with beautician Vandana Luthra, writer and theatre actor-director Dolly Thakore, Salim Arif and actor Lubna Salim made for an interesting mix of conversations and discussions.

There was enough representation from Bollywood as well, with the usual suspects – Muzaffar Ali, Sudhir Mishra and Atul Tiwari – in attendance at the LLC, alongside former Army chief, General VP Malik who narrated tales from the Kargil war.
