Jaipur Literature Festival 2015: Vishal Bhardwaj not yet ready to give up on Shakespeare, may direct a comedy next based on bard’s play

Even though Vishal Bhardwaj has made a trilogy based on Shakespeare’s work already, the director doesn’t mind making a few more films based on the bard’s work.

During a short chat up at the ongoing Jaipur Literature Festival, the filmmaker revealed that while he hasn’t planned his next film yet, he would like to take up more of Shakespeare’s work for films. “Perhaps a comedy next based on one his plays,” quips Bhardwaj.

The director has been credited to bring out the best in Shahid Kapoor who is right now sweeping all the best actor awards in various award ceremonies- because Shahid’s acting prowess has been best exhibited in Bhardwaj’s films. “He is definitely a good actor. No doubt about that. Plus we share mutual love for each other, which makes the working experience smooth. He feels comfortable working with me, I guess,” says Bhardwaj.
