Lu Gusun, an English literature professor at Fudan University, passed away at Shanghai Xinhua Hospital on Thursday afternoon at the age of 76.
Lu, who was born in Yuyao, Zhejiang Province, spent his whole academic career at Fudan University where he studied English language and literature as a student.
Lu is a lexicographer, professor of English literature, Shakespeare expert, translator, interpreter and critic.
