My reverie was broken when a flying football crashed into my head. I opened my eyes and saw the boy who had hit the ball, looking embarrassed and stunned. I gathered the ball and passed it to him. “Take it easy young man, I am fine.”

“Thank you, Uncle,” he said apologetically.

The river reflected the yellow silhouette of the big round star shining before it went pale and was lost to the might of spreading darkness. I suddenly remembered that I had to meet Rohan. I walked hurriedly to my car and drove off. I reached the bungalow’s gate within twenty minutes. Rohan stood at the gate. “Sir, come in, please. I have told Grandma about you. She is waiting for you.”
