Asia publishing deals: English book deal for Chinese writer Han Han

Chinese writer Han Han’s novel 1988 will be published by Amazon Publishing, according to a statement by the author’s agents, the Peony Literary Agency.

The publishing arm of Amazon.com has acquired the World English language rights of this novel.

Han Han is one of the most prolific bloggers in China. After dropping out of high school, he wrote his first novel, Triple Door, which became a runaway bestseller with over twenty million copies in print. He has since become a star of the rally racing circuit and an international celebrity.

Simon & Schuster published Han’s Han’s book of blogs and essay, This Generation in 2012.
