Nayomi Munaweera is remarkably composed for her first Jaipur Literature Festival. We meet on the press terrace minutes after she read from her first novel, Island of a Thousand Mirrors, at a panel called Serendip, featuring two other Sri Lankan-origin writers, Romesh Gunesekera and Ru Freeman. All three have published relatively recent, and well-received, novels that look at the human costs of the civil war through powerful stories.
