Jaipur Literature Festival Comes to Boulder Public Library


Proclaimed the world’s largest free literary festival, the ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) has attracted world-class writers since its 2006 inception in Jaipur, India. On September 19–20, it left home for very nearly the first time and came to America, where it was hosted by a public library. The Boulder Public Library and Civic jlfatboulderLawns, CO, opened its doors and adjacent space to over 40 festival events, presenting 100-plus writers and performers ranging from internationally best-selling novelist/memoirist Anchee Min and Pulitzer Prize–winning poet Vijay Seshadri to celebrated journalist/author Bob Shacochis and Rebecca Walker and Irene Vilar in conversation about “Why Art Matters.”
