Kitaab TV : Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Series #4- Why Muslims of the world should be grateful to the Turks (Urdu)
This is part of a series of speeches/lectures of India’s first Minister of Education and well-known freedom fighter, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. He delivered these speeches during the Khilafat movement (1919-1922) in India under the British Raj. This movement was one of the key developments in India’s struggle for freedom which brought Hindus and Muslims together on one political platform under the leadership of giants like Gandhi, Azad and the Ali Brothers. The excerpts have been sourced from a book, Khutbat-e Khilafat, compiled by Dr Mahmood Ihali, and published by UP Urdu Akademi, Lucknow (1988).
Produced and Narrated by Zafar Anjum (zafaranjum.online). In this episode, Maulana Azad talks about the sacrifices of the Ottomans (Turks) for centuries to safeguard Muslim interests all over the world and why Europeans would always hate them.
