Dipayan Chakrabarti blends science with fantasy and magic to produce realistic effects, creating a captivating story.

One spring afternoon, when I sat in our garden, I fell asleep and dreamed of a space mission.

Indian Space Research Organisation’s space shuttle fleet- Indus flew a mission that carried me to space. After spending nine weeks meandering through space, I assessed that the India-made lander,Khoj, with the rover Gauti in its belly, would touch down on the newly discovered quasi-moon, which orbited Earth at a higher velocity than the moon. Just below three kilometres from the surface of the blue-green orb, the lander stopped sending signals to the Indian Space Research Organisation despite taking a holistic programme with competent scientists on board for the mission to succeed.
