Literature on Gandhi goes online with Gandhi Heritage Portal

As a follow-up to the last month’s launch of an online portal featuring the works of Mahatma Gandhi by Sabarmati Ashram Preservation and Memorial Trust, the National Innovation Council had conducted a Twitter conference on Gandhi Jayanti.

While the conference was meant to discuss the life and messages of Mahatma Gandhi, the website hosts the works of Gandhi, writings on Gandhi by other authors including books, tributes, journals and other media such as videos, photos, among others in 28 different languages from across the globe. According to the publication, Gandhi’s autobiography is available in English (100 volumes), Hindi (97 volumes) and Gujarati (82 volumes) on the website along with more than 5 lakh pages on Gandhi, 21 films, 72 audio speeches of Gandhiji and over a 1000 photographs of his.
