Literary News: Guernica Editions and Kitaab International Pte Ltd enter into a cultural exchange arrangement

Singapore and Canada publishers agree to strengthen cultural ties by cross-publishing short story anthologies 

Singapore’s publishing company Kitaab International Pte Ltd and Canada’s Guernica Editions have entered into a cultural exchange arrangement to publish each others’ titles in their respective markets

. 

Guernica Editions will publish and distribute Kitaab’s annual anthology, The Best Asian Short Stories 2022, edited by Dr. Darryl Whetter, in North America. Kitaab will return the gesture by publishing and distributing This Will Only Take a Minute, an anthology of Canadian flash fiction, in Singapore. 

The exchange arrangement resulted from the Singapore-Canada virtual trade mission, organized by Singapore Book Publishers Association and Livres Canada Books in December 2021.
